Hello,
I got a virtual private server to host some sites. About two weeks back i needed to park a domain on one of the sites. This was done successfully, but due to the email difficulties of parked domains, i decided to take it off and just give the parked domain its own space.
Now the problem is that when i do a search in google for the name of my company, although the header and first link belongs to the main html of my website, the link actually goes to the main html of the domain which was parked. I'm not sure why this has happened, and i suspect it maybe a fault with google's algortihm because i checked it on yahoo but it linked to my site no problem. Anyone know why this has happened?
thanks,
Sav

you can try manually submitting your url to google and be patient for few months(actual time differs from site to site) and hopefully it will correct the issue and reindex your site with correct links...

Good Luck

google reindex faster than yahoo, so i think its a matter of time for bots to reindex your website.

I am a bit confused... are you talking about google's cache or link it points to... if you have changed the parked domain page then the parked domain url would goto new place...
or is it that parked domain is showing early in results than actual domain??

Sorry if I am getting it wrong

Before submission, we should also check whether meta-tags are in proper order so that the site is indexed.

No, it does not. If you regularly update the content of your site and have good incoming links with other related sites, then google will index you quite often. It visits my sites almost everyday.

The presence or lack of meta tags, their order, or their content won't have any bearing on whether a site is indexed by any major search engine today (except for something like an error in a meta refresh, the use of which should be avoided anyway), and the presence or content of meta tags is only a minor factor in ranking at those major search engines that do use them at all.

Meta tags certainly aren't the cause of savak's problem.
