How do I go about enabling remote MySQL connections on a server? I'm pretty sure an old admin we had blocked it using iptables. Any help is appreciated

open port 3306 in your firewall rules.

also if you're useing cPanel you should gives your IP access to login the mysql

and to do this login your cpanel and click on "MySQL Databases" and go to "Access Hosts" and put your own IP there
