It should not be too hard to compile from source ( although I havn't done it with 4.1.10 yet I have always compiled earlier versions myself )

Pay especially close attention to the posts further down on that thread, it seems to install ok per the given instructions if you didn't install the PHP-4.0.6withNewGD.pkg but if you did, the GD will not compile, in doing research I also discovered that it seems the new GD requires the updated zLib installed as well..
