cheaper than 7,95$ is :

name.com (http://www.name.com)
bluerazor.com (http://www.bluerazor.com)
directi.com (http://www.directi.com)
dotRegistrar.com (http://www.dotregistrar.com)
rrpproxy.net (http://www.rrpproxy.net)
nicline.com (http://www.nicline.com/)

and you might check http://www.internic.net/alpha.html to see all icann accredited registrars... maybe you'll find some more cheap resellers/registrars :stickout:

and: why do u use webnic ? godaddy (http://www.godaddy.com) has cheaper .cc domains, just in case this is the reason you used webnic.

Just because their sale contact me, they can support reply email within 12 hours.their support is good.when i email to enom (member center email them, wait a long time to reply , it must wait about 36Hours) but this company reply so fast. But price is not good for hosting company.

Registerfly is an Enom reseller...you choose....Directi and onlineNIC are among the best pricing you could ever find online...but only if you are planning to register domains in bulk

any one know how to become Registrars?

Any year fee ? is that they also need to pay money for each domain to icann?

Thanks.

Well I heard that you need about mid $xxx.xxx to get started with the guarantees and funds etc. so I would suggest unless you have plans to be pretty big and spend a lot of money, you will stick with reseller accounts. Even the big players such as EV1 do that.

http://www.icann.org/registrars/accreditation-financials.htm

this is only the fees not fogettting the cash needed to run out :D

cost is $6/name + icann fees $0.15 - $0.25 or so

The market is overcrowded and margins are at all time lows. If you are looking to complete on price expect to make very little if domains are your only business.

6 is the profit?

and runing cost for company right?

No, 6.00 + misc registry fees (around 6.25) is your cost. if you were a registrar this does not include annual icann fees, CC processing, insurance, staff, office etc. Factoring those in the price is much higher

Which makes you think, companies that sell names for 6.35, 6.50 each unless they are able to do volumes of 250,000 - 300,000 names a year they are making almost no money
