View Full Version : Did you know?
cmoats 12-17-2001, 03:42 PM Did you know that you can order Papa Johns pizza online and it
comes to you. You can order all types of pizzas and drinks. You
pay when the pizza comes.
Its Great!
creid 12-17-2001, 03:58 PM Papa Johns?
Is that a big chain in the states?
Chris
cmoats 12-17-2001, 03:59 PM yep.
ProSam 12-17-2001, 04:30 PM That's so cool. I didn't know.
My local Papa Johns was closed, I guess it did not generate much biz even though it was probably the best home delivered pizza and it even comes with those free jalapeņos and buitter-garlick dip sauce.
:homer: Hmmmmm...garlick
cmoats 12-17-2001, 06:51 PM I love the buitter-garlick dip sauce and the ranch dip is also good.
Chris.
Franky 12-17-2001, 07:15 PM Do they confirm it back by phone or other means? What if it's a fake order, and they delivered it to you? Would you accept it eventhough you didn't place an order?

Yes they confirm by phone.
When you register you must input a valid number.
Too bad I can't get. Because they closed the one in my area.:(
davidb 12-17-2001, 07:43 PM As much as I use online order for stuff, when it comes to ordering pizza online, I have honestly never tried it yet, though I have wanted to in a way. I really do not trust it so much. I can just picture myself sitting here, 2 hours later for one reason or another. Just my opinion.

They've never done that with me... I used to use their online ordering, but there isn't a way to enter comments (special requests, coupon info, etc.), so I call now. It's faster than ordering online, plus you're sure they got the order then.
cmoats 12-17-2001, 08:35 PM Ok. But I have had no problems with the online ordering. I just
order one with 5 toppings and a cold coke. And it came in 23
minutes.
bitserve 12-17-2001, 10:31 PM I prefer marcos, but you can't order online. www.marcos.com
Speaking of ordering pizza on the Internet.
I remember late 1993, one of my buddies that was working for SCO at the time showed me the WWW using Mosaic running on Open Server.
He showed me the web site for the pizza hut in santa cruz, and said that we could order pizza online. But we were in DC at the time, so it didn't do much good.
We had been using hypertext documents in the army, and distributed them over the dodiis, but even then I thought that hypertext was pretty silly.
Anyway we started a conversation about the world wide web on our way out to dinner at Hogate's, and that's when I said my famous words, "I don't think this WWW thing is going to catch on."
:)
cmoats 12-17-2001, 10:33 PM LOL. I worked phone support for an ISP a few years ago and I
had a woman tell me: "I don't think this internet thingy will catch
on".

internet should be an alternative method of ordering, and should not be considered as sales bost point while making stratigies for selling pizzas.
friend of mine having pizza corner here have kepts some chicks and his pizza sale is getting up with adition of every new chick serving those hot pizzas.
;)
:D :cartman:
JustinK 12-19-2001, 06:45 PM ech... papa john's is nasty pizza. I like RoundTable & Toppers. None have internet ordering yet though. :| It's a pain doing CC orders when they deliver since they don't have a clipboard and there's nothing to write on near the door. So cash only around here. :)
jeremiah23 12-19-2001, 09:59 PM In my town we only have breadeux Great pizza but they don't deliver.
joe52 12-20-2001, 12:58 AM One of the pizzerias in the town I went to college in has had online ordering since at least 1996 (when I arrived there). No phone confirmation. You just hit submit, they sent you a confirmation email, and you got your pizza. I don't think fake orders were any more of a problem on the web site than they are over the phone.
mahinder 12-20-2001, 01:18 AM well, personally i don't like pizzzas, may be i haven't eaten the best yet
but the pizzas delivered door step are costlier then the one you get a laung.
by the way do anyone know about daminoozz here they sell like anything.
bitserve 12-20-2001, 02:56 AM I remember getting domino's pizza even in Pamama'. Or was it pizza hut? I forget.
Anyway, the owner of domino's, Tom Monohan (sp?) lives here in Ann Arbor. I met him once in his office on a field trip for some business class in high school many years ago. He seemed normal, except that he has a petting zoo.
He's filthy rich.
Warren Avis, from avis travel and avis rent a car lives here, too. I met him, because my step mom was is personal assitant for a long time.
