Hay,
I try upload WHoiscart into folder(whoiscart) in public_html folder and when i try run from my site INSTALL.php as they mention to cpmplete setup i am always get these error


Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format ID 0, which is too old in /home/fahedksa/public_html/INSTALL.php on line 0

can any one help me ,is there any wromg with my steps or what

Which format did you upload your files through in your ftp client?
Make sure you upload them all in binary only. You may have to delete teh whole directory and re-upload your content.

I use WS-FTP pro software and i just but the folder i want upload and upload it to my server.
Please if there any setting guide me here
or if there any software to be better ok and how i choose upload mode (binary/autp/..)

I have never really used WS-FTP. But from a screenshot I found I beleive it to be under settings on your top toolbar. If not see if that tool bar has something that has a button that says Binary on it. Or even try right clicking on your local filemanager whoiscart folder in your ftp client and see if there is an upload in Binary option.

Can you advise me to choose program can help me or if there is one you use it and how to make it upload in binary mode

I use http://www.smartftp.com/ . Its got the Binary button right at the top. Its got a 10101 above it which means binary. Maybe see if yours has a similar name to it?
Anyhow, I found smart-ftp to be the easiest for me to use yet.

No, I never have so I guess its not really needed.

Please edit out your domain for security reasons (in the post above). And it also looks as if you have to chmod some files.

can you try it and tell me how i fix the points they mention here like chown/chgrp oto 777

You have to chmod through your ftp client. A way of doing it is browsing to the file in your FTP and rightclick to see chmod then give persmisions of 777.
Or if you use putty for shell etc...you can do it with command line
chmod 777 filename

Did you create a MySQL database, user, then asign user to database?

Yes, the next step in your install will need the username and pass for your database name and change your hostname to localhost

but local host is it when i use it to connect to my compyter ?
and should i create databse and user first or no need?
i thougth that i but in host name my domain name

The script (whoiscart) is connecting to the server it is on, so it is localhost to the script. So you must use localhost.
You must also first create user then database then asign user to database. then proceed to finish install.

Glad I could help. Its not so bad when you do these things all day. Its just four things to do when installing things like that.
Create user, database, and asign user to db
chmod your files after uploading
install
And lastly, DELETE your install file when finished :)
