What would be the value of a .biz domain in relation to the same (popular) .com domain? (all tld's taken)

Thanks

Define popular. Google.com is popular, but Google.biz is worthless. Where as you take a personal name that is popular..like Ryan. Ryan.com would be worth a lot, and I think Ryan.biz would be worth a good amount also. It really depends on the domain.

.biz is catching up, just needs time

considering the time it took for .com to reach this value i think the 2nd best business/commercial TLD is .biz :)

As mentioned before, I agree that it really depends on the domain name, if it is a generic or a dictionary term, I think it could be worth a nice amount even though it's .biz

If I had to guess an average I would be saying well under 1% for all of these new extensions. Havn't seen any directly comparable sales for .biz and .com but have seen some for .info which might a help to get a feel for the extent of the prices differences.

compra.info - $1000
compra.com - 200k

casino.info - 20.8k
casino.com - 5.5 million

I used to get so much spam from .biz domains that I don't accept mail from any .biz any more. My valuation of a .biz is appropriately reduced because of that. Not that all .biz domain owners are spammers. It just seems that some of the more persistent spammers are owners of various .biz domains.

.Biz domains are a lot less, but show.com is probably worth less than show.biz . In general .com > .biz :)
My two cents

LOL! Interesting. But the truth is showbiz.com is worth A LOT more than the pair combined. ;)

I definitely think that in about 5+ years, all of the other extensions will catch up as more and more sites are created.

However, as it stands right now- .com is 1st, .net is 2nd, and everything else follows them.
