For a commercial website, which do you think is a better option - .net or a .info domain?

Well I guess it kind of depends what business but .net is more widely known then .info - you could always buy both and point one to the other. Hope this helps.

IMO, .net is better.

It sure depends on your purpose and the target market but IMHO, .net is more widely known then .info, as far as I know, .info is relatevely new compared to .net, which has been around for quite some time.

Definetly .net for business.

I would go with .net because it is the second most popular. .info just seems weird to me.....

I prefer .net, i had a site with it to, and it is much better than .info

Yea .info does seem weird. I never even seen good sites with a .info extension!

I havent either...has anybody here seen a good site that ended with .info?

cant see any value for a commercial website running ontop .info

i'd rather run it over .org than .info IMO

When a website is selling information the .info domain could be suitable,
in my opinion :rolleyes:

But not for products or services as .info wouldn't fit the purpose of the website.

By the way, did you consider .biz? :)

.biz is the best replacement for .com if running some business/commercial website

.net usually goes for ISPs or hosting providers etc..

would go for a .net, .info and .biz is largely unknown.

.net is way better than .info
