I also have to suggest Post-Nuke, generally when a security hole is find in PHP-Nuke/Post-Nuke, it may take the PHP-Nuke guys months to fix it, but usually only a few days with Post Nuke..

proof is in the pudding.

1) problems with security
post nuke is open source so when a bug or security concern comes up. it is solved rather quickly.
phpnuke is closed developement and FB hates issuing patches

2) speed
Post nuke is slightly faster that phpnuke. New test are being done woth the rouge series and that will be published soon.

i just changed sites for a client yesterday

they wanted phpnuke

i will say i wasnt all that impressed

after uploading and installing the phpnuke they sent me in a zip
i recieved all kinds of mysql and parse errors

and finally went to the phpnuke site and downloaded it myself
only to reupload and install and get the same errors
a couple caps errors and parse errors int the files

after installed tho it i kinda looked threw it and found it kinda a neet program

wasnt to hard really if you like you can aim me and i can show u how to add those.

i have heard overall that postnuke is better in regards to server loads speeds and security issues

but havent used either of them.

Why?

Because..

1) The code is SO messy in PHPNuke, it's not even funny!
2) PHPNuke and security? Ha.
3) PHPNuke is slower.
4) PHPNuke's team is not organized AT ALL

wait you forgot
1) setting up the d-base
2) the running of the install program
3) and the quick fill in the blanks for the config file

that applies to both php and post nuke cms's

Post nuke has all this in it -

$pntable['autolinks_column'] = array ('lid' => "$pntable autolinks].lid",
'keyword' => "$pntable[autolinks].keyword",
'title' => "$pntable[autolinks].title",
'url' => "$pntable[autolinks].url",

you know that the most common error on the "nuke systems" is that people don't do the basic setups.
