can anyone please tell me what a postermaster email account is? it seems to be created all the time for every new domain i created in MailEnable.

I am new to setting up email server so a good explanation would be great

A postermaster or a postmaster? If you meant postmaster - that is probably the default e-mail. I know on SmarterMail / Helm - they create a default called mail.

A postmaster email address is required (see RFC 822 (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc822.html) and search for postmaster) to be a "standards compliant" hosting service. Thus, it has become standard practice for most front end/control panel applications to create that as the initial/primary account.
