I created nameservers in WHM. I create them as ns1.searchxs.com, ns2.searchxs.com and ns3.searchxs.com

When I try to update the nameservers of my domain, it gives the following error:

(759) Dns:DNS1 has not been registered, modification failed.

and when I put my server Ip and try to update, it gives the following error:

s_dns_addr1=67.18.172.59s_dns_addr2=67.18.172.60
Register system prompt

(806) DNS modification failed.-11

What do I do now?

Have you registered ns1/ns2/ns3.searchxs.com as name servers (using some control panel offered by the domain provider)?

I bought the domain from a local reseller.
Its from Onlinenic, as I can modify the domain info through here > https://www.onlinenic.com/cgi-bin/english/correct_domain_new.cgi

I have no clue of what should I do now?

Do I need to email OnlineNIC for registering the DNS?

I read the following on OnlineNIC Faq page:

------------------------
How can I Register New DNS? Is there any charge?

The DNS registration is free for resellers, while there are some restrictions on the domain name used as name server.
1) The current registrar of the domain name is OnlineNIC
2) The domain name should have 5-year extension from its Current Date.
Example: Registration Date: 2001.1.1
Expiration Date: 2003.1.1
Current Date: 2002.3.20
Then you have to renew domain for 4 years more. That is the expiration date should be extended to 2007.1.1.
-------------

Does that mean that I've contact the person I bought the domain to add the nameserver or I've to become a reseller?

I think you should contact onlinenic for more information. It appears that you either have to renew your domain or become a reseller.

I became a reseller at OnlinceNIC and tried to add a DNS and it give me the following error:

--------------
(147) The domain searchxs.com were not registered in this system, so the DNS ns1.searchxs.com can not be registered here.
--------------

But I can edit the domain properties by going to :
https://www.onlinenic.com/cgi-bin/english/correct_domain_new.cgi still. I used this url to edit domain properties two times earlier and it works just fine.

What could it be?

Did a Whois search of my domain and I see:

---------
ICANN Registrar: ONLINENIC, INC.
Created: 2004-03-28
Expires: 2005-03-28
Status: ACTIVE
---------

How do I solve it now?? :(

I think your only option is to contact OnlineNIC support and explain the situation as clearly as possible.

Yes, I did. They registered the DNS in just 10 mins of requesting...Pretty fast :)

Thanks anyway =)
