Synergy 12-19-2001, 11:00 PM the demo wont work :)
Locutus 12-19-2001, 11:10 PM Please let me know which part of the demo does not work
JustinH 12-19-2001, 11:15 PM Get:
Error: You have entered a wrong Username/Password combination.
when typing in Admin/Admin for user/pass.
Locutus 12-19-2001, 11:21 PM username: admin
password: admin
Locutus 12-19-2001, 11:24 PM Could everyone that uses this demo please refrain from changing the admin username and password!!!
JustinH 12-19-2001, 11:24 PM It doesn't work :).
Locutus 12-19-2001, 11:36 PM I've fixed the problem now. Some inconsiderate user changed the admin password so no one else could login and use the demo
I've disabled the Superadmin details now to prevent this from happening again :)
toma1708 12-20-2001, 03:14 AM Sorry. Stupid question.
Locutus 12-20-2001, 12:26 PM As requested, I have now added the demo signup form to the website. For some strange reason, I forgot to add it
Locutus 12-22-2001, 01:55 AM I don't know how to put this but, are some users on this forum deliberately trying to sabotage my demo?
I am trying to offer a product here that genuinly helps new webhosts get off the ground and here we see VERY immature people writing obscene messages in the email editor and changing passwords so other users can't access the demo.
All I ask is WHY? Are you really that immature? If so, you don't belong in this industry NOR on this forum.
Are you my competitor? If so, WTF gives you the right to do this? Are you scared that I'll take away customers from you? If so, make a post in the Request forum rather than advertise on my demo (Not naming any companies as I don't want to start a flame thread).
Although the problems were minor and were fixed asap, I don't see why you have to stoop so low as my software is targetted at new companies and is not a FULL management system like Ubersmith or Modernbill.
All I can say is, go away and get a French Connection UK'ing life.
P.S I'm sorry for the tone of this message, but you must understand how I feel at this moment
dbnet 12-22-2001, 02:41 AM Hey great looking software Locutus,
sorry for the trouble you are having from some of the tools that visit the board :(
life would be much more fun without them.
cactus 12-22-2001, 09:30 AM I do agree that it's very childish and mischievous to sabotage someone's program/software. Anyway, I did have a test on it and find it very useful and value for money. I will probably buy it after the new year. Since I understand you will be working on improving it and providing support/advice, that is definitely a very good selling point , I wish you every success.

I understand it, you will see this everywhere and you cannot do anything regarding this unless untill you disable those features (I had to do the same), just disable the changing passwords, system functions (if you have any) or any other core parts and you wont experience this again.
smilb 12-23-2001, 06:03 AM I just thought I'd give this product a thumbs up.......Well worth the $15 bucks.... I have been playing with it for a day or so. You will need to edit a few files, but other than that its simple. This is perfect for Resellers..............
Give it a Try
cactus 12-23-2001, 06:31 AM Okay, I have decided to purchase it now and already paid for it through the cc processing company, 2checkout.com. Looking forward to receiving the software and using it.
Locutus 12-23-2001, 12:17 PM Thanks for the thumbs up guys :D
Cactus - your copy is on its way. Let me know if you have any questions when setting it up and i'll be more than happy to help :)
cactus 12-23-2001, 12:57 PM Thank you. I have received it.
ebizalive 12-23-2001, 02:15 PM Hi Locutus,
You have done a great job. But I
ebizalive 12-23-2001, 02:18 PM Wow - this hasn't happened to me before. Well now I know that it can - here is the rest of my message:
... I noticed a calculation error in your program - a total of 11 clients but only - I think it were 5 monthly 2 (?) quarterly clients. - Also what about semiannually clients? I give my clients all 4 possibilitiesf. But besides that it looks like a good tool for the daily business. :) (and forget about those :( people)
John
Locutus 12-23-2001, 07:02 PM Hi Nogi,
You've got a sharp eye, but it isn't actually a calculation error. What has happened is when someone using the demo has added a client, instead of putting Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly into the schedule field, they put another word, therefore the statistics does not show these clients whereas for the total clients, this calculates the total amount of clients, regardless of what is in the schedule field. Hope that makes sense :)
As for bi-annual clients or any other way you bill your clients, this can be easily implemented with basic php. If you don't know how to do this, a quick email fired my way and I'll send you the code to add to the relevant php file.
Hope this answers your questions :D
2Grumpy 12-24-2001, 12:03 AM What'd it take to get this working on a RaQ (4i)?
Locutus 12-24-2001, 12:11 AM Hi Dixiesys,
The software will run on any server, as long as it has full support for php4 and mySQL which, I believe, the Raq4 does.
If you are enquiring about integration with the cobalt cp, the software does not include this at the moment. Most hosts (I think) use WHM to setup accounts.
Apart from this, as mentioned above, the software can be run on any server as long as the minimum requirements of php4/mySQL are met.
Regards,
Locutus
To all WHT members,
If you have any questions about phpManager, you can now post your questions in our phpManager Forums (http://phpmanager.taysoft.com/forum/).
If you are interested in purchasing phpManager, we are offering all WHT members the scripts at our special discounted rates. You can view the offers here (http://phpmanager.taysoft.com/wht.html)
Regards,
Locutus :D
Locutus 12-27-2001, 02:52 AM To all WHT members that have purchased phpManager and those that haven't yet, we now have good news. phpManager is now FULLY template based with support for Themes/Skins.
By changing one variable, it is now possible to completely reskin phpManager. Only the default theme is available just now, but more themes will be available in the near future. Or you can just design your own as only basic knowledge of html is required.
A side effect of this recent update is that it is now easier than ever to install. NO php knowledge is required to install and manage phpManager. Only 2 files have to be edited (Variables such as your company name and email etc) and you're up and running.
Regards,
Locutus
cactus 12-27-2001, 04:50 AM Hi locutus,
I purchased the software a few days ago and now noticed that I used the normal link and paid $20 instead of the special link for WHT members at $15 Anyway it's a small matter, if you are not able to adjust it then leave it as is.
BTW, how do I get the updated version and I pm you for some personal matters, did you get it? Regarding the extra $5 I paid maybe you could offset it or contra it for the request mentioned in my pm to you(not appropriate to mention here)
Thanks
NetDotHost 12-27-2001, 06:17 PM Hello:
Everything looks great! I tried the demo, I like it.
The pricing looks good.
There is one thing however... Can I purchase the basic package, and then if I have troble setting it up, send you the price difference to "upgrade" to the Starndard or full packages to get help with setup?
I may also be interested in reselling/marketing for you... Would you be willing to work out something a little more solid than your referral commision?
Locutus 12-27-2001, 06:22 PM Hi there,
