say i'm a one man bussiness, w/ 300+ hosting clients and couple of servers, problems arise if i decide to take a long holiday to go for vacation...i'll temporily stop accepting new clients, but who's gonna handle the support of existing clients, restart services and reboot servers if failed, and fixing security holes if neccessary?

any existing server management company/team/person do this and at what rate they charge?

There are several, some are based in India. I believe one of which is bobcares.com .

If you search around, you'll see what Bob DOESN'T care. :)

There are a lot of outsourced support companies out there, I can't name one off the top of my head, but you can talk to some server management companies and see if they will handle your hosting maintenance for a few weeks.

Hi!
I would suggest never to use and outsourced company just for the holiday time. Because no company or person can learn the working of a company in short periods.
For any outsourced group to work successfully with you. You have to have a long term relation with them.
Taking a team for holidays is equivalent to hiring somebody inhouse just the day before the leave and firing him the day after you come back.

We for example never take short term commitments. It would never work. One has to know the way your write to your customers. What are the kind of customers you have. What are the kind of servers you have and what are the typical problems your servers face and so on...

Long term, team based working is what works and succeeds..

Have a nice day

Amar

P.S. Bob actually does care :-D
