The young lady who owns runs the internet company tamba.co.uk is auctioning herself off as a wife for £250K!

Go check it out http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1677522500

I wouldnt be suprised if i saw 200 other internet company MD's from here on auction as a husband or wife in the near future :D

Out of interest would anyone put a bid in?

(im not affiliated with tamba, im just a newbie)

Not a bad looking girl....but i would have to say no to a bid.

It's true though. Most business men and women make sacrifices in order to achieve success. Things such as dating, starting a family, spending time with the kids...etc

Oh well...i wish her the best of luck.

Too bad i'm already hitched :D ;)

I would not pay no £3,000,100.00 for no wife. Thats $3,810,000+

akashik

err 6 million now.. get the feeling it's not much of a serious offer? :D

This is what I got when I tried to use their humanclick to talk to them.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'tamba'
tamba: Hello may I help you?
you: How did the auction go?
you: I didn't get a chance to place my bid :)
you: hello

WildWayz

heehee When I saw that auction a few hours a go, I went to their human click thingie and asked if it was true - they said yes.

I proceeded to ask...

- Does she have low mileage?
- Any worn parts?
- Any previous owners?
- Does she give much bang for buck?

They closed the chat :)

I personally think it was a great publicity stunt - set the bid at £25,000 but the reserve at £999,000,000. I mean, her site looks ****e in honesty. Probably needs the extra sales.

The bidding reached TEN MILLION !

If you failed to notice she's a brummie! Although you could marry her and then divorce her a year later and take half of her buisness. easily claim back your ten million and then maybe more.

Providing she doesnt make you sign a pre nuptial :) And i dont condone marrying for money either

Ms Hammond, who's MD of TAMBA Internet, added: "There have got to be similar people to me who work long hours and have sacrificed their personal life making a success of their professional life."

Work long hours and sacrifice personal life? Yah, definatly.
Making a success of my professional life? Hardly :(

And I definatly meet the requirement of having a smaller hosting company

Being unmarried at age 24 isn't that big a deal. Just wait till you are unmarried at 31, now THAT is a big deal :D

Hmm, hang on. So I sacrificed my personal life, didn't even make a success of my professional life, am 31 and unmarried?

Sorry, gotta run. If I hurry maybe I can throw myself in front of the 9.30 southbound freight train.

I'm 30 and unmarried. I have nieces and nephews that are married! Thanks for reminding me. :(

Of course they're trailer park trash, but I wouldn't mind being married by now.

All of us overworked single web hosters should get together and do an auction all together. Now that tamba has done it, it would seem like we were all silly copy cats if we did it one at a time.

But if we all did it together, hmm...

We could all meet in grenwich and take a group photo.

Of course I might just go ahead and order that russian bride, svetlana. :)

Does ebay support item grouping?

Woman 'shocked' at £10m internet auction bid

A 24-year-old internet entrepreneur who auctioned herself as a wife says she's shocked that bids reached £10 million.

Kay Hammond, from Birmingham, put a reserve price of £250,000 on the eBay auction.

But the internet auction site has now withdrawn her advert less than 24 hours after it appeared.

An eBay spokeswoman says: "It's a grey area, but there are certain things that aren't considered appropriate, like people selling their virginity or their soul."

Ms Hammond, who's managing director of TAMBA Internet told Ananova: "I'm not selling my body and I'm not selling sex - I'm selling the whole thing."

She adds: "I can't believe people are bidding for me. I'm thrilled - and shocked. It's so bizarre."

She's received around 600 emails since the ad appeared and is considering putting herself up for auction on other auction sites.

The eBay spokeswoman says the 11 bids aren't valid and that the auction has been "annulled".

I'm the biggest matchmaker / yenta of them all. At my peek I handled 17 successful introduction in 1 year that lead to weddings. I love weddings. there is nothing more joyful.

Mostly geek guys ended up with nice girls ( scale of 1 to 10 I'd say 7.5 for the girls ) so if your a guy in northern NJ, from the ages of 28 to 45 then I have some woman in my roledex that could be of interest to you.

Currently I'm working on doing an intro for a 30 ish 2 time rodhes (sp?) scholar. Brains, looks and built ( size 10 - 11 dress )
