But I dont think their forum needs email server. coz if they are concern to notify the members regarding to their email problem, they should post it to their forum or just open their AOL IM..

Have a look at this thread (http://www.aletiaforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1572) (in regards to phoning them). Look out for Ron's post. That is, in my opinion, the final straw. Aletia seemed too good to be true, unfortunately, as it turns out, they are. Their support is now non-existent, the servers are completely overloaded, they haven't made any annoucements regarding the technical problems, etc, etc. I'm already making arrangements to get out!

Damn it.Until this past week my time there had been great. Time to jump ship before the lease ont heir servers runs out and I lose everything :(.

Any suggestions for places to move with a hosting package like Aletia's Essential plan?

Im not sure what that plan was but just wanted to mention there is a request forum here where you can post your requirements.

I'm still contemplating going with them, I mean, they can't be any worse than ADDR... how long have there been major problems with their service? It seems to me most of the complaints have come within the past week. I'll just e-mail them about using them as a host and see what they say about the server issues I've been hearing about and what's being done about them. I don't plan on having my site fully active til mid-late January anyway, so server issues for a week or so won't be a huge deal if things are great in the long term.

I wouldnt write them off as a bad host, everyone goes through growing pains. Theyre definatly not going to just fall apart at the seams or anything.
