I'm considering launching a new service that would only offer custom hosting plans. Basically you would just choose what aspects of a plan you needed and "Create Your Own Hosting Plan". If we could provide this with excellent toll-free and online support and a superb connection, would you be interested?

I imagine there would be interest as long as you can back it up with good service as you were describing. One of my previous hosts offered custom hosting plans, and as a customer I liked being able to pay for just the features that I actually used.

Of course if you do this you won't be able to play the numbers game like many of the cheaper hosts can, but as long as you have the appropriate resources available then it shouldn't be a problem.

This has been done though. There are dozens if not hundreds of hosts out there that offer this. They have like a menu and you choose the features and customize your plan.
