Not talking about dedicated but actually co-loing. Did you have any non-network related problems with them?

Did you have any non-network related problems with them? music 06-24-2004, 01:16 PM Been with them for about 3 years. Yes many problems in the past. But they have continued to improve over the years and been very stable over the past several months (besides the outage at the beginning of May, which they purchased an additional cisco 6509 to be fully redundant.) The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful,. The FDC forums are also a good source of information. Been in the data center many times and it works’ for me. KarlZimmer 06-24-2004, 01:57 PM For the price you can't really do much better. I've had servers there peak at 33mbit/sec with no real problem. That was a dedicated box, but for me they're in a good location. If I weren't working on my own setup in Chicago I wouldn't feel bad going with them for some low-end hosting. The amount of bandwidth you get for the price is marvelous. MetaData 06-24-2004, 02:01 PM I have a dedicated box there, but they don't have any dedicated options with more than 2GB of RAM. The box does a fair amount of data processing, so I'm looking for more like 4GB. A dual Xeon would be nice too. I'm wondering if building and shipping my own box there is such a good idea. Best regards, music 06-24-2004, 07:58 PM Perhaps you could enlighten us as to why you intend to choose FDC? RobTheGolfer 06-24-2004, 10:13 PM We have colocated 5+ boxes with them for the past 2 years. Had only one problem when our server's hardware was damaged by one of the admins there. Took them 3 days to get us over to a new box. Other than that, we are pleased with them. Regards, |
