ermm.. those offers are between 100 and 200....
You do realise that webhostdir.com is a large site right? and that 100-200 dollars would be about a day of work...
how will you script the entire frontend and administration backend AND the host's frontend in that amount of time while still putting in the same amount of features that webhostdir has....
My offer would be around $1,200 for the same functionality as webhostdir.
And I would take about 2 weeks to script it in a good manner and bug test it carefully.

Hi Guys,
You're right, Webhostdir is a big site. Very big. The front end wouldn't take too long, but the back end and supporting systems would take you a few months. :)
We have several proprietary search engines in place and a proprietary banner/ad placement system that is linked with third party software like RealMedia and DoubleClick. Our own Content Management System allows submissions of content from multiple sources which is then spidered by moreover.com.
Along with all this we have indepth reporting systems and an accounts package linked to the database. Our Entity Relationship diagram looks like the metro map for the London Underground. If you've ever seen that, you will know what I mean. :)
I guess you could get a site up and running pretty quick but on the operational side of things you will need a lot of support tools and systems.

Thanks everyone!
I've already got a good-old-friends who's willing to do that for me ;)
I'm also learning PHP now from a book, maybe I could offer programming services later :D
