There are so many domain resellers out there now that I would be afraid that the low-cost ones will not be around in another year when it's time for you to renew, or change owership, or nameservers, or anything else about your domain. By going with an OpenSRS reseller, you can use the tools on the OpenSRS.org website to manage your domain even if your reseller goes away. Just my opinion of course. -t avara 12-13-2001, 12:12 PM ***** -- https://www.*****.com -- recently started registering domains for just $6.95. They're a reseller of DotRegistrar, which gives you some security in case they go bust. If you're looking for an OpenSRS reseller, I would recommend 000domains.com, who charge $13.50. Best of luck with your future domain name. avara 12-13-2001, 12:14 PM Huh, what happend with the stars appearing there? The URL is <edit>. com (just take out the spaces I guess). ::is confused:: MadCool 12-13-2001, 01:20 PM Yeah. What's up with the stars? For a second I thought it was like a f---edcompany.com kind of thing. <<MOD NOTE:>> insiderhosting is probably correct (see post below), but I don't know the specifics on this one, so I can't say for sure. <</MOD NOTE>> insiderhosting 12-13-2001, 02:05 PM Originally posted by avara Huh, what happend with the stars appearing there? Evelyn 12-13-2001, 03:18 PM I like godaddy.com. I transferred my domain to them last year and had absolutely no problems. They were really helpful, too. I think the price is $8.95 for one year? Less if you pay for more upfront. TheOp 12-14-2001, 10:15 AM I use stargate.com. No problems at all. Best price for an ICANN registrar you will find. I think every registrar has some bad reviews posted in this forum at one time or another. Asher S 12-14-2001, 10:50 AM dont forget directnic.com =) |
