I was just curious, has anyone decided whether they are going to hostingcon next year?
I assume this is the first year that it's been done. What do you guy's think about having an industry conference? And how many of you will be going?

Either way, I'll be there... but im not sure if this is going to be a conference or a trade show with booths, but if so I know I'll save about $2200 ($900 for PBX phone line and $1300 for shared ethernet) :-)

I won't be, don't think it'd really be worth the trip.

Looks like it was postponed on 6/18/2004 until 2005.

Bummers! Our CTO and I were planning on going to Vegas to hostingcon just to get out of office if not for anything else! Glad we didn't purchase our tickets early! Perhaps in the Spring.
Best Wishes for a Net Success!

Depending on the timing, I will likely attend. However, it damn well better be in Vegas or another warm weather location if it's going to be in early Spring 05.

It looks interesting. Too bad it was postponed but we will definitely be aiming to attend next year if scheduling permits.

Does anyone know if this is connected to the old ASPcon / ISPcon? I think that was Penton Media.

To answer some of the questions, HostingCon 2005 is being scheduled for June 2005 in Chicago (weather's nice here in June :)). We're finalizing the location and dates right now and should have those available by the end of this month.
We'll have lots more information on the site after we finalize the location and dates, so keep an eye on http://www.hostingcon.com/.
This will be both a conference and expo. We're planning at least 25 conference sessions including keynotes and panels. We'll also have 40-50 exhibition booths on our exhibition floor. And no, we're not associated with any previous events.
