I know this can be done, but does anyone know how to make MRTG report traffic for a given IP, as opposed to a switch port or entire switch? Can you get this information from the switch? How do you configure this?

OR

If MRTG can't do it, is there a program that can?

MRTG can plot basically anything for which you can give it a data source. The problem here is primarily that (ethernet) switches are IP-agnostic; you'd have to query an IP router to get that information.

Of course, all of your end systems are IP routers, so assuming that you trust the boxes you should be able to fish the information out of ipfw/ipf/pf/ipchains/whatever.
