First I'd like to thank you all for this forum! its very useful.:)
In general, I'm very new in dealing with the internet as a business. I have been reading a lot about Web hosting and all the other fields.. and i have a small idea.. but i need some advices please.

i was thinking of making a website that will allow people to upload their files on the internet. there are many ways in which this can be useful.
so what do we call this? FTP service? file hosting? virtual Hard-drive?.. i'm not sure if this the right forum.. but since it included hosting.. so i put it here

so here are some questions

1- the hosting company: i was thinking of ixwebhosting.com. in their golden plan they offer unlimited webspace, 30GB of bandwidth, and unlimited FTP accounts. so is there anything such as "unlimited webspace" ?.. and is the bandwidth too little?
do u know of a better hosting company?

2-i heard that the mail box in GMAIL will work on http... so not https like hotmail for example. will that allow people to share files in their inbox with other people thru forums.. etc?

I'm still considering if this business will be worth it or not.. but i need some answers to these questions first.. and any other advice will be highly appreciated!

1 ) unlimited space huh ? mmmm be careful and read their ToS
2) no idea
3) well u need to spend a lot for few months and if u get more visitors daily u can get advertisements and partially cover the spendings
