Hello from England. I work for a Market Research Agency and we have been asked to quote on a proposal on Co-Location services. We need to know more about this topic before we do that.
Can anybody please suggest a source to give us more general and background information about this subject, reference points, published documentation etc

I think it would be wise to check out a few hosts that offer colocation services, get an idea of what it is all about and pose specific questions you might have after looking. I'm not sure what you are asking about.

I am currently doing that, and comparing information.
What I was also looking for was some sort of industry statistics, market size, future industry developments.
Ideally I want an authoritative source to tell me what is what.
