DreamHost-MikeS 06-19-2004, 07:01 PM Their account here on WHT is disabled, which would really make me want to stay away from them. You may also want to read some of the reviews and thoughts about them I found when searching (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=) http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=2508577&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending&perpage=25&pagenumber=2 http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=262234&highlight=hostdime http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=260241&highlight=hostdime http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=236109&highlight=hostdime It looks like they are pretty hit or miss. Good luck with whatever host you go with! samuel_ado 06-19-2004, 07:52 PM hmmm.. some nice, some bad comments :) i am at HostDime and went from reseller to dedicated .. just wondering that was a good decision or not .. but i can tell honestly their support is incredible till now (2 years reseller and 2 weeks dedicated) but i haven't checked HostDime out at forums or revies sites till now .. anyway hope will keep happiness z280 Hosting 06-19-2004, 08:09 PM I USED to have hostdime on my mental good-list for dedicated servers, but then I emailed a sales question. Then since I got no responce I did a tech support ticket with a sales question. They responded slow and were rather blunt. Personally, they didn't make a good impression on me, but as stated before its kind-of a hit or miss situation. Samuel_ado It MIGHT be a good decision but if you want a managed server it might be better to switch this month instead of pay more and leard more negitive info about them later. www.angelnetworkz.net and maybe www.tomsyer.com are more what you might want. HostDime Dedicateds are a little pricey when comared to their service. If you would like a better deal on a server on their network, www.surpasshosting.com is also in DimeNOC. angst7 06-20-2004, 12:33 AM I've been a hostdime customer for a little over a year now. I'm really pretty happy with the quality of the network and their service. When I first signed on with them the support wasnt always snappy in response, but since they opened up their own DC and hired new staff things have been really good. The last few support requests I've submitted have been answered in under an hour. I only run about 12 sites with them at the moment, but I've yet to have any real problems. samuel_ado 06-20-2004, 01:27 AM Hi z280 Hosting, i visited www.angelnetworkz.net & www.tomsyer.com and they look like reliable.. what about their support which is most important .. are you with one of them now or ? really they are cheap and angelnetworkz.net looks fine cause 4 AIM online. thanks z280 Hosting 06-20-2004, 07:54 AM Actually, I am with ThePlannet now, and am not a customer of either of them. I am however a big fan of both of those companies for lower cost servers. I am well acquainted with many of the staff there as I have emailed them MANY times. You will always get a reply within 30 minutes. Just as a note, only 4 people use AIM when compared to the 40 that answer emails. Do, don't see who is online on AIM to see if support is available. The only thing about Angelnetworkz.net is that they have servers in managed.com's datacenter. However now I think they have their OWN helpful staff there and don't have to rely on managed.com's horrible support. You can do a search on the forums for angelnetworkz.net or tomsyer.com and you will get many results. |
