Hello,

could someone tell me how can i access this directory from windows xp.


C:\$Extend\$UsnJrnl:$J
C:\$BadClus:$Bad
C:\$Boot
C:\$Bitmap
C:\$logFile
C:\$MFTMirr
C:\$MFT::$BITMAP

everyone have it....

using msdos command i have an access denied...grrr

i like to know what is behind these directories.

Er... those directories aren't there on my system...

There on mine, just get access denied though as above.

Are you sure those are real directories and not just paths used by the system like the way the $$windowsdirectory$$ is used etc??

Try right clicking the folder, going to security tab (you have to be an administrator and might have to start up in safe mode), take ownership and give yourself rights.

They could possibly be protected by windows file protection, disabling it is a nono but heres how:

the F-microsoft site has some info on hidden folders if you're really that interested and into conspiracies..
