I just accidentally clicked the link to unsubscribe from all threads in my email and it didn't ask for confirmation and just unsubbed me from all the threads I was part of, DRAT.

Ok, I'm about to look pretty stupid here considering my post count... but what is the purpose of subscribing to a thread?

When you reply to a message it automatically subscribes you to that thread so whenever someone replies to that thread you get an email about it. Lost all of those in one click with no confirmation (maybe adding a "are you sure you want to unsubscribe to all threads" would be helpful).

Oh ok.. so it's just the usual e-mail thing. For some reason (lack of sleep possibly being it), I'd assumed you guys had insider information I didn't know about :D
Anyway, back to my daze.

Not if you uncheck the 'Use email notification by default' in your profile options :)
