I wonder how many resellers have been hit with price increases from their suppliers due to the Alabanza price increases?

I know that AMS (various brands including Below10host.com etc) have contacted their resellers with price rises of up to 2 dollars per month on some of their cheaper plans.

Any other hosts starting to pass on the costs?

Interesting to hear how people are handling it.
We changed our credit card processing company and made significant savings, so we have managed to avoid a price increase.

I think in the long term we will be looking at dedicated servers with control panel software sourced seperately rather than an all in one solution like Alabanza.

Interesting that so many are choosing to leave Alabanza.

We are an Alabanza host, are although we have no immediate plans to jump ship, we're curious, just where are you all deciding to jump to?

The level of automation and the control panel alone make it a not so easy move to continue to offer the same or similar services to your clients.

How are you also explaning the changes that are taking place that your customers are also going to obviously notice, such as the removal of the control panel for another?

A lot of people are moving to VDI, but VDI have started to increase their prices.

I thinkl the long term solution is a control panel and management software system bought independently and installed on a dedicated server of your choosing at any location.

This would make it much easier to move accounts in the future.

That's exactly what I'm thinking of doing. We also have to start supporting NT because of a new very big reseller (big enough for their own server but don't want to setup their own).

We're currently using Alabanza's system. I am thinking about getting Prism & Resolve from Inovaware. I have negotiated a price to with Inovaware to make payments over 12 months.

From my calculations, the next coming year will be tougher because I have to pay off the software but after it's paid for, Inovaware is the clear winner. Other benefits include changing datacentre much more easily and taking the whole system to the new datacentre. Something you can't do with Alabanza's system.

I was very pleased with Alabanza at first but I get worried when ever the phone rings late at night or early in the morning because I think it's one of my resellers calling up to say the server is down again. I get really paranoid over it. We had the choice, we'd change datacentres if we could.

Anyone else looking at getting Web hosting software from Inovaware, Rodopi, MaxBill or the like?

Ive noticed that after the last few months of extremly low prices, prices are starting to creep back up in all sectors... anyone else notice this???

we have heard alot about the alabanza price increase. It's interesting as for a big customer, say with a couple thousand sites this gets REAL expensive.
The problem with developing a control panel for sale is the wide range of OS used and differant configs. It becomes very hardware as well as OS ( and particular module) dependent. We have seen several out there in one form or another but they dont seem real good or stable. There is alot more that goes into a working control panel that you think. We know
