Well its been slow and fast for me. I guess thats my local ISP's fault. hmm..
Seems like a lot of you guys have been hosted with catalog.com. Well, they had a very poor customer service, I've emailed them few months ago, they replied darn slow, 2 days, and were not friendly. At that time, I was looking for a host for my small company. Never come back, ever... once I got bad impression about their services.

I've been looking for a new host but i can't find anyone that comes close to catalogs prices what host comes close to them. I didn't think much of there customer service they might have the best prices but to me it's not worth it if your site is down and slow.

So far, at least 1 downtime a week, and its always @Home Network
I been with them for 5 months now, and they always answer the tech phone, Joe Sullivan is the best, always replys asap and does even more (like replies after hours, when his at home)
He even asked if i wanted to move to their downtown location, which is on Sprint Link...i am thinking about it, big job to move all the sites, but it may be worth it. Its the same connx that dollar.com is on etc (big named sites)

Actually I've never hosted with Catalog, but I do keep an eye on their forums occasionally just to keep up to date with what's going on...
I have got nothing but the best support you can get from catalog. Nobody is perfect and everybody has bad days yes catalog was down for a wile lastnight not of there own falt it was @home. There is no such thing as 100% up time I dont care where you go there will be problems at times.I am also sure catalog is on @home real hard about the problems they have been having and if @home dont work them out then I would expect catalog to be making a move soon.

I agree. No host or ISP can claim 100% uptime. We currently use UUnet/MCI WorldCom for our backbone. Our Internet connectivity has been very reliable since we went live a year ago. Since going live our backbone has only been down 6 times and was always due to our local telco.
If any hosting company that is currently using dedicated or co-location and is considering moving their company to their own servers on their own connection we definately recommend using UUnet/MCI WorldCom.
Thanks,
Scott
