View Full Version : RaQ4 can't connect to other RaQ4 on same network

Hi!

I have 4 RaQs (A, B, C, D; all RaQ4) in the same network and since yesterday I have the problem, that RaQB is not able to connect to RaQC (it can't even ping to the two ip-adresses of RaQC).

But RaQB can connect to A and D. RaQC is able to connect to any server including RaQB.

This seems to be very strange. There should be no firewall or someting like this. Yesterday I had a problem with RaQB: A Bug in the Dynamic Link Library (saw this entry in the apache-error-log). I had to restart the RaQ and everything seems to be fine now - but I have this problem to connect from B to C. Any ideas?

Thank you
Daniel

Maybe this should be in the RAQ forum

you might try adding IP/hostname in /etc/hosts

Thank you jahsh.

I tried that but unfortunately with no success.

Try logging into RaQ C and check this file:

/etc/hosts.deny

Most probably the IP address of RaQ B is in there somewhere.

Hi Jens,

thank you for the tip. But this file is empty. I think I'll have to phone to my colo-company if they changed something.

Together with Jens I solved the issue. I created some sites with the ip-adress of RaQB on RaQC (i used cmuImport without the -i tag to change the ip-adress).

Many thanks to Jens from www.raqsupport.net - they make a good job :-)
