I run a free host and decided to start a paid host to get a stable income so I can support both.

I have the following

1) Modernbill for sales/account processing
2) Outsourced support (Tripod Support)
3) Dedicated server from Beachcomber.net

I got the template from templatemonster because I suck at designing. I have been saving up funds from different places to start this.

Now that I have everything ready, where do I start if I want to get clients?

I have started posting in forums, and advertising in my site. What are some good sites that I can list my site in?

Thanks for the help

Register for every hosting directory you can, the free ones. And list yourself on all the hosting review sites.

Target your local market first.

If you have a lot of client try to get some advertising. That is good for company. You can search of cheap advertising

I search for hosting directories, but barely any of them are legit (mostly advertising, etc). I currently advertise on the 2Webh forums which gets around 5000-7000 unique hits a month.

Drop the templatemonster design. You don't want to look like everyone
else, do you? Plus, if you are serious about the business you wil get something
better made... Your website is your one and only presentation and
contact with a potential client. Impress them.

True! If you can afford a custom design get one. If you can't afford one still get one. It WILL pay off!

First suggestion is to add your contact information to your site, where are you and how do you get a hold of you if your site is down?

Second suggestion is to visit the following sites and attend the meetings as you will probably get a few customers to begin with:
