Hi i need your help, i'm from Israel aand until now i only used free hosts.
now i'm concidering moving to a paid host and i got an offer from an israelian webhost.
check out the offer and please tell me if i should use them:

50 MB
1 Domain name
control panel
1 POP3 mail
1 FTP access
1 GB bandwish
your own CGI-BIN library
SSI
PHP 3 or 4
C, C++, Java, TCL/TK, Python, Perl support
if you pay for one year you get a free domain name .com/net/org
for 9$

and actualy all i need is the CGI-BIN to run my UBB and a small website.
so what do you think?

I clicked the URL, waited a second, clicked back in this window, hit quote, the quote screen loaded, I typed the first 4 words, and it finally loaded something (in the window behind this one. Here's what it loaded:

I tried it as well and it just timed-out. Are you on the host right now or are you planning on moving to them?

How can it be my connection? I can post here :D

Could be a routing issue but since I don't have a saved traceroute to them then I can't compare to what I'm getting right now to know if they're down or if a backbone/link between here and there is down and of no fault of theirs?

and it's not just a free domain name as long as you're using them you're getting him for life.

Why do they list prices in $ instead of shekel?

in israel we just do ( make prices in usd ) ,
about the connection problem , up are fast from israel, but im afriad the international line is very slow / not working .

But as you know in Israel most of the people have 56K and the rest of the world use cable or DSL.
so it will be fast for them anyway dont you think?
but maybe you have a better offer for me.

Those guys must have pipes only in Isreal or like 56k outgoing to the states. :) I can't connect and I have tried over 5 times.

ok i get it they have a lame hosting service, so whice host is the best for me now that you know what i need
CGI-BIN is the most importent thing.
