Hello
We have a client who is looking to host a large flash file which they need to be "streaming". I assume what they mean is they want the play to begin before the download is complete.
Do we need to have anything installed on the server in order to accomodate this?
Thank you in advance for any advice on this matter.

If my memory is correct, i am pretty sure there is a way to do this in the flash file itself, its a setting of some kind
Nothing special is required serverside, you set the movie to start playing when xxxkb has loaded

Hi Keith!
Similar to those files I sent you a few months back ;). Streaming is handled through Fash on the client side. However, there is a practical limit to the size of a Flash movie that can be streamed, but you could do about a 15 minute video, easily!

Excellent. I guess this file is about 42MB.

There's always Flash Communication Server MX 1.5! lol
That's a massive file! I hope they have a nice preloader!
