Hello all wondering if anyone knows of a good hit counter for a very high traffic site

i wrote a cgi flat text one a while back but it would continually corrupt the file and reset itself

I am currently using phphits but that is starting to cause problems with the sql server because of the extensive traffic i am getting

Does anyone know of a good script that works with high traffic

I could look at hotscripts but i am not into trying diff counters hoping one will work

Would a remotely operated stats service such as nedstat or extreme-dm work?
