Im kinda discouraged... Im looking to find the perfect web panel and have been considering one of the three: plesk, ensim, or cpanel.
I came onto this site and relized that almost everyone and every host i looked into (from this site) offered cpanel. I decided to look into that just to find their site... really is not finished up.

Can anyone tell me for a hosting company with multiple servers, what control panel would be best.

This isn't a poll, just help me decide :D Should i go with plesk, cpanel, or ensim?

This is how I see the current major control panels.

1) Ensim: Not generally recommended by many due to complexity. It is generally very mature when released and has a slower update cycle. I don't know Ensim's licensing scheme.

2) Plesk: Plesk 7 brings a new look and some hope back to Plesk. With 7 it became.. pretty and still functions well. It is generally stable and its update cycle is also slower. Generally 100 user Plesk licenses are available from the datacentre. After that it is per user and can get quite expensive.

3) DirectAdmin: This is a newcommer to the market but, is a strong contender. Seemingly an easy control panel for customers due to its simple interface. It is still packed with features and many say it is their top choice. Pricing is from 10 USD a month from a datacentre.

4) cPane: Last on the list but, certainly my personal favorite. cPanel's update cycle is quite speedy and it is full of features. While some say it is too buggy, with the proper upkeep it is just as stable/secure as the others. As far as pricing goes, cPanel runs from 20 USD a month for unlimited domains from a datacentre.

In the end I would recommend cPanel or DirectAdmin. They seem to the the top choices for dedicated server providers these days. ;)

Definetly cpanel.

For multiple servers, Hsphere is designed for that.

I decided to look into that just to find their site... really is not finished up.
Due to a securtiy exploit a month or two back, they moved the demo's to another server, guess they haven't finished. :rolleyes:

I prefer DA.
It also depends on what OS you are lookin at. For Windows, Helm is good for multiple servers. Linux, I'm not for sure.

If you have multiple servers H-Sphere would be a good option. Being able to spread services across multiple servers will lead to higher uptime, and overall lower server load.

It also includes a number of functions, for instance: help desk, billing system, and automatic signup system.

If cpanel is the registered trademark of cPanel Inc., it won't be hard to get thier .com domain!

We use Cpanel because of it's ease of use, integrate with WHM auto pilot, and customers have less questions about how to complete common tasks.

not that simple, cpanel.com was already taken BEFORE cpanel inc was formed.

If you're looking at Windows hosting, Helm is worth considering too - it provides for multi-server setups and doesn't have a restriction on the number of domains/users.
