I've come to a startling revelation that I go through a hell of a lot of AA batteries every month. The digital camera eats them up like candy, my mp3 player goes through several every month as well as my cd player. Also, we have about a dozen flashlights that take AA batteries.
Considering the amount of batteries we go through, I've been considering purchasing a AA battery charger. However, I have absolutely no experience with them and I was hoping you guys could give me some advice.
I've discovered that there are basically two types, trickle chargers (overnight) and super-fast chargers that take anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours. What exactly is the difference? I've heard that the fast chargers damage the batteries and you get far fewer charges with them, is that true?
Also, would you reccommend a particular brand of charger? How about a brand for rechargeable batteries? Any special places to get a good deal? Any other helpful thoughts?
Now to let the helpful responses roll in... :)
