 | View Full Version : Home download speeds mkaufman 12-09-2001, 09:57 PM Hey, just curious..what types of download speeds do you get at home? I just got cable Internet and during the day I can get around 400kbps download, 600kbps or so at night sometimes! Half the people in my neighborhood have it) I had a 300 mhz windows 98. The download speeds were aroudn 200 kbps which was awsome compared to dialup. I later got a newer computer, 800 mhz and the speeds immediately climbed to 300-350 kbps. The connection's on and off all the time and seems to have a bottleneck to it when it is working.
