got a $60 server late last week, it was set up on monday
ive sent 3 emails to support, one was back in 5 minutes, one in 8, and the third in 5. I know they only have support during business hours but i was really impressed by this.
The only disapointment ive had so far is they wont install red hat enterprise for me, they only use fedora.
overall looking good so far
Well, loads of people do give a toss. Why do you think they monitor managed.com's networks even when they don't have a server with them.

:rofl: Too true.
However, I agree. This type of review is useless. Unless you've been with a provider 4-6 months, the review is pretty jaded and not likely to have much substance.

Managed.loosers/ready to rip you off. COM is to stupid and/or just very bad people and figure they can PISS all over WHT members and use us as a forum.
Why this company does not have a forum is beyond me.
Calling all MANAGED.COM users. ----WAKE UP….. Tell your Server Pimp to get a forum.

I think that if you give them the software they will install it, or pay someone to install it. You have full access to the server.

Of course you have full access to the server - They're unmanaged servers. No, they won't install software on your server for free either. I had a bad impression about Managed.com before I tried them (just from what wother people said), and have a worse impression of them after I tried them. In one month, my server was affected by 3 network or network segment issues, totaling 1 hour of downtime and another hour or so of high latency. Their incompetent staff caused my server to be down for another 33 hours in that month, so I've lost ALL faith in them.

For the record... managed can't install RHE as they have no license yet to install it. They can install RH9 if asked though

I've had them for 1.25 months now. I was billed only 7 days ago but I simply can't stand the poor network performance day in day out. I'll just take the loss. Ordered me a Total Control from thePlanet yesterday.
My only support request with them was a pre-sales question before I had purchased the server. It was made on a weekday and sent via email. I got a reply back more than 24 hours later. You would think a "pre-sales" question by a potential customer would be answered a lot more quickly. Anyway, this is not really indicative of their support, just something which happened to me.
My sole decision to move away from Managed.com is the poor network performance. It doesn't even matter to me how great or poor their support service is. The network alone is totally undesirable to me.
