Hi and welcome to WHT. I'm sure everyone will make you feel welcome. Just be careful with humour, they don't much like the pommy (UK for those of you who don't know) sense of humour. I'm Irish myself (Northern, and proud) so... don't know. Someone did say it might be because I'm not funny...

Welcome to the forums, Dragon. Is there any specific advice you are looking for? I'll point out a few things off the top of my head:

1) You are focusing on a niche (Australian hosting vs. general hosting that most others do). That's a plus and is a step in the right direction.

2) I notice that you have a TOS on your site, but I don't see a Privacy Policy there. You might want to add one in the future.

3) Your site map page appears to be broken. Might want to fix that.

Good luck in the future!

Welcome to the forums! Just lurk about here i guess and just keep reading peoples experiences etc. Its all relative, if not immediatly at some point or another you'll remember reading something and it will help in a situation.

Welcome to WHT.

1) Create your business plan
2) Do a SWOT analysis (strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
3) The SWOT would help you define your USP (unique selling proposition)
4) Advertise where your niche visits on the web
5) Dont make false promises such as 100% uptime gurantee unless you can live upto it (quite rare)
6) Do social and online networking
7) Provide value added services to your clients

Remember good support and happy customers=word of mouth advertising.

Best of luck, Yaser.

Hi and welcome, :)
Have a look at the topics on niche markets and think about how you can conquer the melbourne/australian market with good planning and execution.
Good luck!

Welcome to the forums, ask away or if there is anything in particular you want to know about the search facility is great as most things have been discussed lots of times.

You may want to sort out your fonts on the site - the content text font face changes a few times from one section to another - you should really try to keep this constant. Eg:

Welcome page content text =
<font color="#0A4D78" size="2" face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">
Solutions page content text =
<font color="#0A4D78" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">

I would have to second that, consistency is the key. I would also like to ask, why do you have a loading screen on your website? I know it is kind of flashy and all, however it will draw people away from your web site if they have to wait for it to completely load before they see it. A lot of people just close their browser windows if they have to wait for a web site to load.

Welcome,

I agree with Travis, nothing is worse than a slow loading website especially if you are selling hosting.

Welcome to WHT! I like the look of your website but it would be better if you centered it

Now that's funny!

Seriously Dragon, you may want to consider going with some other font other than Times New Roman. For people with bad eyes it's kinda hard to read. You may also want to do something with your margins to help remove the horizontal scroll bar if you designed your site for 800x600.

Hello,

I'm also new here, I'm so excited to learn from here and start making hosting biz , maybe after 2 years or so,

however, I'm very good at programming and using linux, maybe this will make administrating the server easier to me

Hi There.

nobody noticed he has an unlimited space/bandwidth plan for $100/year and then a small plan (100mb/1GB) for $300/year?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet.. usually ppl at WHT love tearing down ppl who make offers like the ones mentioned above.

oh and i just noticed but he's charging $20/100MB extra on the basic unlimited page.. 100MB after unlimited?. Is that really possible.

Like everyone else says, i think his site could use some work.. Plus I think some of his prices are unrealistic... such as $20 for 100MB transfer (even taking into account its $AUD).

Yeah, I charge $1.50 a month for 1gig extra bandwidth.
