Failing that what features does it have?. kunal 10-31-2000, 01:57 PM The site addy I think [not certain if Ill use it] is getmonked.net. It has tooo many features. It does everything that wonder desk does plus lots more ;). -Edward- 10-31-2000, 02:16 PM freeware or shareware?. or both a limited free version and a full shareware?. Sorry just throwing ideas back and forth. kunal 10-31-2000, 02:24 PM Not thinking of a freeware one at present. It will be a paid one. :) CRego3D 10-31-2000, 02:28 PM Kunal .. I am jsut having a few domain problems. Sorting that out, and looking for a name and decent layout ;). Any ideas? Duster 10-31-2000, 03:24 PM How about Omni Administrator? Or Omni Support System? kunal 10-31-2000, 03:30 PM Omni?? whats the meaning of omni? -Edward- 10-31-2000, 03:45 PM Kurnal Support System?. kunal 10-31-2000, 03:52 PM Naa.. I dun wont Kunal in it :). I was thinking SupportBuddy? :) alchiba 10-31-2000, 04:02 PM InterHelp? WebAssist? HostDesk? -Edward- 10-31-2000, 04:03 PM SupportBuddy is good. But not very professional. I do my best thinking down the pub i'll come back in a few hours and tell ya if i came up with something. Good reason for a piss up :). kunal 10-31-2000, 04:06 PM Lol.. thanx Technics. ;) Alchiba --> WebAssist is good :) any more? :) Chicken 10-31-2000, 04:28 PM SupportBuddy makes me think of jock strap... I dunno why... How 'bouts TheDesk? kunal 10-31-2000, 04:34 PM The Desk sounds good, but I was trying to avoid the desk coz of wonderdesk? Just made me feel a like a little copy cat..hehe. What says you, O holi chicken? Chicken 10-31-2000, 04:42 PM Well that's why i suggested TheDesk as in 'Thee Desk'. The only desk. The only desk you'll ever need. It slices, it dices, it unclogs your drains. TheDesk. kunal 10-31-2000, 04:45 PM hehehe... ok :) got it :) so "The Desk" it is..if someone can come up with something better or has any other suggestions, click reply button :) Duster 10-31-2000, 06:02 PM Omni means all. For instance, omnipotent means all powerful, omniscient means sees all. Omnivorous refers to animals that eat all (flesh and plants). If your program does most everything, then Omni might be an appropriate name. kunal 10-31-2000, 06:05 PM Oh ok.. coool..Thanks Duster, you just gave me a briliant idea... me is gonna call it "Omni Desk" ;) JayC 10-31-2000, 07:43 PM For what it's worth, I like "The Desk" better than "Omni Desk," if only because the second one is very similar in theme to "Wonder Desk." And even sounds more like it. kunal 10-31-2000, 09:22 PM "TheDesk.com" is already registered. I am scared it might be TradeMarked. And plus I am in noo mood of going to court. :D kunal 10-31-2000, 09:41 PM Pure php :) Ok.. so know I have narrowed down the search to 3 names. 1. Web Assistant 2. The Desk 3. Omni Desk Tell me which one!!! :D Bogdan 10-31-2000, 10:48 PM hmm... maybe... Request Desk JTY 10-31-2000, 11:38 PM SupportSuite or something to that extent. CRego3D 11-01-2000, 01:23 AM Help Central !!! Help Central :) kunal 11-01-2000, 01:28 AM Boooo hooooooo... why dun u guys decide on one name.. I am all confused as it is!! Duster 11-01-2000, 08:54 AM For what it's worth, Web Assistant sounds too vague to me. It could be a tool for creating web pages or some such thing. Names that include "desk" suggest not fully grasping the concept of the Internet, as does "tons of.." There are no desks or weight in cyberspace. In fact, one of the biggest problems I see with many web sites is people transferring what they know from other media and applying it to the Inertnet and WWW without grasping the inherent differences, much less putting them to work in their benefit. Of course, what features a product has and how well it works, along with price, are important considerations. Im merely suggesting that you might want to give it a name that doesn't reflect outmoded thinking. kunal 11-01-2000, 09:01 AM So what should it be? Please?? just tell me, I dun wanna choose, I am bad at it.. Where the hell is learner when you need hime? :) Chicken 11-01-2000, 10:22 AM Originally posted by Duster Names that include "desk" suggest not fully grasping the concept of the Internet, as does "tons of.." Duster 11-01-2000, 01:12 PM It's a subtle statemnt, I'll grant you, but it is a statement all the same. |
