We are looking for a sponsor, someone who wants their ad shown on our site in the permanent banner frame.
We had 1500 users last week, but the DB was damaged and unrepairable.
In just 3 days we have 400+ new users.
The average user stays on the site for 15 mins.
Only looking for cash to help pay for hosting, plus a little extra to help with development (buying books, etc.).

What exactly are you looking for? These 2 statements contradict each other. The first would be a webhosting company sponsoring your site, thus providing you with free hosting in return from advertising.

The second is a webhosting paying you money to advertise on your website.

I disagree, there are many cases across the web where sponsorship = cash payment. It's all a matter of the terms of the sponsorship.

either. I've got a host at the current time so it is more for the cash. But if someoene would offer hosting then I'm sure we could look into it.
