All we accept is credit card payment. So no extra fee is applied.
Thank You

Hi,
It said $25/mth on your site  so is it $20 or $25 ?
Thank you
frankengenius 06-16-2004, 01:13 AM I notice you have 56 in stock for this server, is this part of the limited supply or does the free setup offer end earlier? I'd like to order one of these servers just curious how long I have till the offer ends so I don't miss it. Thanks for any information regarding this.

Thank youWhere did you see it listed for $25? On the order form it says $20 for me. I've never seen it as anymore then that.

In TotalControl server order.
frankengenius 06-16-2004, 06:28 AM In TotalControl server order.I haven't checked the order form for TotalControl, was referring to ServerMatrix. I'm assuming the price differs? I wouldn't think it would be an error but maybe.
X-and 06-16-2004, 11:21 AM Dear YourHost,
Could you please give us the list of software installed by default on Windows 2003 with HELM control panel?
This question is mostly related to mail server software, ftp, dns...MySql, php etc.
Do you install, for example, MailEnable and WebMail?
Is it server 100% prepared to start selling hosting or I need to buy additional software?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

Their pricing structure is a complete mess: although ServerMatrix and ThePlanet are the same company, they charge more for control panels if your server is nominally with ThePlanet i.e. if it's a "Total Control" server. Another thing to watch out for is that additional bandwidth for Total Control servers costs 50% more!!
You have to be very, very careful with this company; as you can see from this thread, they only answer certain questions. Both my earlier question and the questioner who asked if the servers in this offer were old machine were straightforwardly ignored whereas just one of Bashars questions has been answered.
ServerMatrix is a perfect example of a company that uses forums but doesn't understand forums - for every person who makes the effort to write a question, there are hundreds more who read it and are just as shocked when the company concerned pointedly refuses to answer.
They have great prices and I was very interested in having some of my servers there but this lack of communication is a seriously bad sign: if even their sales guy refuses to respond when you want to give them money, how bad is their tech support going to be when they already have your money?
It's a pity.
I am sorry it took so long to answer your question, I was selling your server:D
I have no problem answering questions. However this forum is not the quickest way to get a response. You can always email sales@servermatrix.com
However Total Control servers are not Server Matrix servers. Both products are managed in a different way. You receive a better SLA with TCS, more management options, etc.. Yes we charge $25.00/mth for Cpanel on TCS servers. We charge more for Windows OS on some Server Matrix servers, on TCS servers we do not.
As long as a customer knows what he is paying when he signs up then we have the freedom to charge the customer what we want.
Thank You
HA-Kevin 06-16-2004, 05:34 PM Thanks for the clarification, I will try TC to see what is the difference with Dual Xeon at SM :).

1. SLA
2. TCs have at least 1h administrative work included
3. TCs can be remotely console-controlled (including reboots) via DRAC card without having the DC techs to do it.
4. Tech team on TP is 2 or 3x higher than SM

Okay, thanks for answering and clarifying the difference between SM and TP.
I was annoyed because you chose to answer a question while leaving several earlier questions unanswered. It's worth bearing in mind that most posters are immediately notified of new posts to the thread and will, of course, be disappointed to arrive at the thread and discover that their question is being ignored.

Could you consider giving forums a higher priority? In the time it takes to write an email to one person, you could provide an answer that will clarify your service in the minds of thousands of potential customers i.e. the question may have been posted by just one person but it's almost certain that hundreds more will have the same question and finding an answer in a forum will save you the bother of corresponding individually with each of them.
More and more people are factoring a potential service provider's forum-responsiveness into their buying decisions - we not only want to see that the company in question is helpful but also that we can quickly find the answers we need pre-answered via forums.
Sabre Hosting 06-17-2004, 12:30 PM so is this offer still on?
YourHost 06-17-2004, 12:44 PM Yes, the special is still on but could end at any time.

If you want the quickest response please email. This forum is checked as often as possible. However we have 2 staff members allowed to post to WHT and if those two staff members are busy then a response will be delayed. If you email the sales dept. it can be answered by a 24 x 7 sales staff.
Thank You

weldonj 06-20-2004, 06:40 PM Does anyone have experience with using the planet. I'm a bit concerned because every time I try and access their site the pages either load really slow or don't come up.
Will I get the same network performance? Or is this just a temporary problem.
The deal seems like a good one however.

Will I get the same network performance? Or is this just a temporary problem. I've been a customer of ThePlanet/ServerMatrix since November 2003 and I've been very satisfied with their network performance and how quickly they resolve any issues that arise. As for their own site occasionally loading slowly I generally do not see the same problem with my own sites. It appears to just be their own.
P.S. If you're wanting to take advantage of this offer, I would do so ASAP. I don't expect them to keep it running much longer.

seem like he/she no answer your post...
eddy2099 06-20-2004, 11:36 PM Helm comes with nothing. You would have to install everything yourself. A stock Windows 2003 would come with MS-DNS, MS-FTP, IIS, basic POP3 and SMTP servers.
You will need to install MailEnable, WebMail, MySQL, PHP support and so on yourself.
Rooter 06-20-2004, 11:38 PM If you want to know what exactly comes on the server just contact their sales department.
