We are looking at get a T-1 (or 2) and selling colocation off of this. We are just thinking, so please give us some feedback.

Colocation:
- Any Size Server (u1, u2, u4, or any)
- 20 GIGs transfer
- Remote Reboot
- Secure Cabinet
- Security System
- Web Cam on NOC

Monthly Price: $39.95
Set Up Fee: $200.00

Now, the thing is that the room and network would be remotely monitored via Pager. No one in the room at all times, but we would be able to respond to anything in a timely matter.

We are looking at getting 20-40 customers and purchasing 2 T-1 lines plus routers and everything else needed.

We are hoping to put some sort of BGP4 routing so that everything would be fail proof.

This would be low end, and we would try and help you as much as possible with problems, but please remember that it is a $39.95/month service. We are also going to be adding some open shelves for private networks pretty soon.

Anyone interested?

Jim

A T1 or T2 doesnt have that much bandwidth. Personally I wouldnt want to be on a slow network like that. Our company was thinking of doing that for awhile, but most people want to colo in a secure data center with climate control a/c battery backup and generator back up. Plus a much fast backbone connection with Redundancy.

Maybe you want to get a 1/2 cabnit or a full cabnit at a data center with fast reliable back bone, it would cost you just about the same as a T1 and you could resell the rack space you get.

That would be much more profitable for you....

I guess someone has to pay for the router, switch, and other hardwares.
