hope this is the correct forum...this is my first post so go easy on me :) I have had issues in the past which required me to use a tweaked version of the 2.6 kernel. at the time it was considered experimential. The other day the kernel decided to have a fit and several modules wouldn't load. so to get the server back up for the time being I had to downgrade to the original kernel that comes with rhe(I believe 2.2). Now I'm finally getting the free time to recompile and I was wondering if anyone had tried this yet and if so did you have to do anything special to work with your cpanel? I'm using redhat enterprise, and the stable version of whm/cpanel.

It seems to work OK for RedHat 9, cPanel. The problem is the IOWAIT fluctuates sometimes compared to Kernel 2.4 which it did not go up at all. Stayed at ZERO.
