I keep getting a big blue screen that says Kernel Memory Dump error...

What does this mean??

It means your system crashed.

I'm gussing a windows stop error?
perhaps you should do some support.microsoft.com searching if so.

Did you recently install any new hardware or software?

I dont remember doing so - its nothing hardware related though right?

When Windows crashes, it (most often, this can be disabled) will dump the contents of the memory for debugging purposes... This doesn't have anything to do with your RAM.
