Who provides the *cheapest* P4 2.4, 2.8, 3.0ghz servers?

Also interested in dual xeon 2.4-2.8ghz

All those specs with 1GB RAM and atleast 80gb hard drive.

I have seen Best Value Servers - is there anyone cheaper than they are?

I am more interested in network reliability then I am with software support but if something comes up that needs actual physical access, they better be on the ball.

Who can you recommend? Is there a Nocster reseller equivalent to BVS?

Whoever it is, needs to be able to handle bulk orders of 20-50 machines at a time, and be able to set them up without incident.

(IE: The nocster setup fiasco a while back, I DONT need that.)

Keep me away from Managed.com resellers, while they may be cheap, they suck.

If you need that many machine, why not lease them and colocate them? It makes much more sense in the long run since you have control and it probably would cut your cost down.

That might be a good idea, but it would cost a lot to lease the machine, AND co-lo it. ;)

Because you need godly good credit for the amount I'd be leasing, plus the fact that most places wont lease to individuals.

Plus, I resell these servers and I would never ever stoop as low on pricing as Id be buying them for.

(charging the same pricing as i do for the resold ones on my own machines would yield lower profits)

So I am taking advantage of all these people who want to compete on price.

I know they do.. I've decided that I'd also like to keep away from Nocster resellers though.

So no managed.com and nocster.com resellers please.

Actually, there maybe a few company out there that would allow you to lease the machine and colo it. Their rates are a bit on the higher side, but it still does make sense in the long run. Reselling will never be like running your own show...

Who would you suggest who can lease that many servers to a private individual for colo at another datacenter?

Dell might be a good source to lease from. Some of them do.

Besides reselling SM servers we have our own servers in THE PLANET datacenter. Hardware and support provided with us.

If you want quality go with a reputable Datacenter that's all... Nocster can be bad idea if they're on a bad month. Go with Gnax, The Planet or someone else where you can trust your business like NAC.

Do you price them equally?

Not sure where you are but in Singapore, they do offer hire purchase for individuals too and not just businesses.

I have seen Best Value Servers - is there anyone cheaper than they are?Yes, you can in fact find cheaper deals than BVS for servers located in ThePlanet (but not through TP or SM). Are you looking for managed or unmanaged servers, and does the company need to offer all of the server configs you mentioned (P4 2.4, 2.8, 3.0 and Xeon 2.4-2.8)?

You may want to put in a host quote request ( http://www.webhostingtalk.com/request.php ) detailing what you're looking for. There are a good number of hosts who can respond there - Just make sure you mention that you don't want Managed.com or Nocster resellers (Those people'll probably contact you anyway, though :D ).
