I have numerous years on experience on the internet and with running web sites and such. I have considered for many years on starting a webhosting biz and thought starting out as a reseller would be the best way to start. I have read many articles on what web host resellers are the best and think I have come up with a good one. There are a few things that I need help on.

Once I sign up for the resellers program I need to come up with a web site to setup on their servers that will be my main hosting business site. Once I come up with the pricing plans and such, what is the easest way to bill? I have a merchant account, but would it be easier to go through 2checkout.com or another type of service like that? Also how do I hook my website and merchant account? (Not my area of expertise) Also where can I get a good site design? I could make it myself, but I am very busy at the moment.

Anything else that people could tell me that could help me would be a great help.

Thanks Everyone!

Hi,

I believe that the best way to go about this would be to go through a proccessor such as Revecom.com or one like it. They offer very very simple payment solutions. Its branded, but alot cheaper, and alot easier, then as you advance, get dedicated servers, whatever, you can move to a real proccessor such as an authorize.net reseller. You can go to their site for a listing of their resellers.

There are alot of deisgners to choose from, many are in this forum. If you are willing to pay the bucks, so people will drop their jaw when they go to your site, you can hire someone like 2advanced.com, webcorpfx, pixeldummy. Also, the webhost your reselling for may offer design services.

Can anyone recommend a good reseller? I would like the reseller to have a few qualities:

1. Must be very easy for first time web hosting resellers to use (Ease of Use)

2. Only about 3- 4 different packages.

3. Good techinical support.

Also can people name off a good design sites that don't charge a arm and leg.

Thanks

VenturesOnline.com is a great reseller. I would suggest them as well as McHost.com

Both are great companies. You should look into both. I personally have been using VO for over almost 2 months now and they have been great.

You should take a look at elance.com...This site gives you the ability to have developers compete for your business. It's a pretty good way of getting what you want at the best possible price.

The exact URL for web design projects is http://www.elance.com/c/rfp/main/rfpmkt.pl?catId=10225&rid=B86I

Kind Regards,

Post your project at programmingbids.com and ask for quotes from designers.
