Hello,
I am currently seeking to move from pitas.com. I have a small blog which receives around a 120 max visits/day. I want to pay under ten dollars, but don't have any idea what my bandwidth requirements are, though I think I want around one gig or more in case I decide to host a few sample files. I just want something that is very reliable.
So far I am considering
Cedant
Valuablehost
Worldzonepro (silver plan)
Aplushosting
Dreamhost
The host must be able to run perl 5, so that I may switch to greymatter.
Thanks....
Hi!
Well, do you know how much space you'll need? As in, do you have archives? Although, I have a feeling Greymatter might take up more bandwidth than say, blogger.
My old weblog received around 150 so hits a day, and I'd say I had around 1MB, or perhaps a little under on the server and according to my host they claimed I never went over 1GB. So I hope that helps ^^; Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I don't have extensive archives. Probably under two MB. But thank you for the tip about bandwidth.
I'd go with valuablehost if only those hosts are what you've narrowed it down to. ValuableHost frequents these forums, and the company always seems to be in customers good graces.

My blog's on AffordableHost, and it's doing okay with about as many visits as you get (100-120/day). 25MB storage and 1.75GB bandwidth are enough for everything, with PHP/MySQL and CGI. However, that bandwidth allowance does get tight when my page views spike for some reason or another. (It happened once. I got blogged by Evhead and started getting over a hundred uniques per hour. Fortunately I managed to squeak by that month without paying for extra bandwidth. Just barely.)
Other than that minor concern, I love it. Luv luv luv it. Great value for the price I'm paying: $45/yr.
(Oh, btw, I'm not sure though if they have the Perl modules needed for GreyMatter or MovableType. You can go and check.)
