We're transferring a site to a new account and would like to do a Restore from a Home Backup on cPanel but we're unable to open the Backup feature. It just seems to hang after clicking on it. What are we doing wrong? We're accessing cPanel via the IP.

Not sure if you are accessing the correct account/username but basically doing a home backup to a user's account is quite easy.

First of all, you need to create a new account on the server, if the domain's nameservers are yet to propagate, you can access the account's cpanel by:

1) If the nameservers has already propagated

www.domainName.com/cpanel

2) If the nameservers are awaiting propagation then

server ip/cpanel

3) If the ns is awaiting propagation and the account comes under a reseller then:

www.reseller.com/~ username/ (Don't forget the tilde before the username)
