What would be the start up cost if I want to be make a webhosting company.. I am only 15 and I know I need to a buy a domain (10 bucks) and there is a monthy reseller fee (20 bucks). THen the I need to get a credit card processor 2checkout or revecom..

They charge so much setup though?

What else should I consider as a setup for a webhosting?

:)

You have to consider that you will have to give up your life, parties, sleep overs, and everything else that comes with it.

I recomend you wait until you are much older

Anyhows back to the topic. The Rock, one_web is correct, starting a web hosting business is not something you can accomplish in one go, age doesnt matter though but knowledge does, I recommend you read up the posts in the Reseller Forums and Running a Web Hosting Biz forums to see how other people "started out".

Starting a webhosting company is harder than it looks. You must consider the fact of expense both in money and in time. You must remember that price is on 50% of a good host. Support and Specs are the other 50%.

Just some more of my ideas,

And add "responsibility" to these.

You can not leave your customers after you come up with examinations, social activities, ...

You have the responsibility to stay and support your customers (and you need enough knowledge for this ... )

It is a business. If you think you are ready to start a retail company then you are ready to do this.

Cmoats. I am not a Host yet ( have everything in place just waiting for my trademark to be approved ) I feel that the 50/50 is more like:

10 % price
20 % support ( backend office )
70 % customer service

reason is that anybody can make up prices
you can hire anybody to make sure the back office works
THERE is no way in hell anybody can compete with great customer service. I love great customer service and I'm always willing to pay a bit more for it. Heck I bet that most people on this board have reffered business to those that have great service outside of the hosting field.
