Which do you find the most annoying?

Great Poll. It was a little hard to make up my mind, but I picked
pop ups. Over the last six months all those x10 pop ups are
finally starting to get to me.

yeah, i wonder if there is anyone on the internet who has not seen an X10 ad. I wonder how much they have put into them.

How can you expect someone to choose between all those annoying things?:eek:
I think I would have to choose the person that reminded me of such things. :D

The window popped up on my screen
I thought, "what is this thing i just have seen!"
I checked the size of the ugly ad
The size was 500K - very bad!
Nobody would see their crappy product
Which is fine, because it sucked
But I was fine I had no anger
Until my computer locked up. Anger!
I hit restart and became insane
Because popup ads suck

I used to have popup killer before I formatted. It worked well. :D

Popup killer! Useless! Those things close useful windows. I don't want to use CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+9+HOME+NUM LOCK+TAB+PAUSE/BREAK+SCROLL WHEEL TWO TIMES to open a new window. It's too much work.

Popups don't even bother me any more, I hardly ever even see any of their content -- as soon as a popup window opens <click> I close it. There's rarely any time for the page to load, it's just a blank window. Am I missing anything worthwhile? Not likely.

Banner ads? Same thing -- who even sees them anymore? They may as well be invisible; my brain's become trained to automatically ignore them.

BAD MUSIC gets my vote.

pop-ups. I'm sick of clicking. I found it funny though... I was going through a few html pages to find something easy for my friend to learn with the other day and on the do's & don'ts page they all had something about not using pop-up ads... as I was fighting off doubleclick.

I THINK THAT BAD FLASH IS THE MOST ANNOYING. I HATE IT WHEN THEY HAVE THESE FLASH THAT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE MADE IN ONE SEC. :D

You forgot frigging Comet Cursor. I innocently browse to a homepage only to have 100,000 windows pop up asking if I want to install it while the disembodied head of a dude from 'NSync takes over my mouse pointer. Then nothing works right until I run my spyware removal software to clean off the 57,000 thingies it's inserted into my registry. Star Trek fan pages are the worst. Everyone just *has* to have the Starship Enterprise soaring across the screen. Grrrrr.

But in lieu of Comet Cursor, I voted for pop-up ads. One ad is fine. 57 that all lock up my system during a single message board visit is not.

Not just bad music, but ANY music that autostarts. Especially when there is no way to shut it off.

I hate bad music!!! Or, atleast crappy music reproduction, e.g. crappy stereo equipment or encoding.

I HATE SPAM EMAIL :angry:

Actually my worst pet-peeve is the stupid lookie-loo's on the freeways that slow down for every freakin' thing. For their own selfish curiosity and other bastardly reasons these rubber-neckers will SLOOOW their cars down from 65mph to 25mph JUST to take a look at a police car giving someone a traffic ticket. In front of them? No traffic whatsoever. Add a few of these jerks and you've got a major traffic jam plugged up for miles and miles away.

My friend got in an accident on the freeway once. She called me and I drove over to help. God I swear I saw at least 15 people STOP their cars completely, stick their necks out their car windows, and ask what happened. I almost lost it I almost did. I really was going to jump out and punch this one dude right in his freakin' nose!

My advice to everyone, don't be a lookie-loo. Just keep moving. It's really not that interesting.

Voted for badly used flash, but would've voted for those pop ups and especially the pop unders too.

Other peeves: too many java/scripts. Too many blinking animated GIFs on one page. Really slow sites (not due to graphics, just an overworked server and/or bad connection). Sites that have a "f**k you" attitude. All text sites - if you love text that much request an usenet newsgroup, all ASCII all the time!
